in about half an hour i go to the middle east for cex and postal service. and, i just found

out, certainly sir is the opener, which is certainly a welcome bit of news.

friday after work, adam greg and I went down to foxwoods. sat down at a 2/4 texas hold 'em

table and that's where we sat the whole night. well, adam and greg got up for money and i went

to pee a couple of times, but the statement still pretty much stands. poker is certainly a

smarter table to sit at that blackjack, i bought in for $100 and after my first win, never

dipped below that original. I was getting the cards big time early in the night, and often,

i'd fold, but got the cards anyway. twice early on i folded junk, 5-8, 2-3, 4-6 unsuited, and

then the straight freaking landed on the flop. and 3 times i folded and would've won with 3 of

a kind. so i could've made a lot more, but i was up $100 in not too much time. then some cold

streaks and ups and downs and whatever. wound up with $40 up, but i'm not one to just leave

with $40 up when i could turn it into hundreds, so on the way out i went and played three quick

games of catch a wave in the hopes of turning a decent profit. I did not. but i drank for

free and won seven bucks. hey hey hey, not a bad night.

got home at 5ish, caught an episode of family ties and then got to sleep. On saturday i meant

to do something productive. We'll call it "video games." However, at around 2, i noticed

saved by the bell was on. and saved by the bell refused to not be on until around 7pm. and i

watched them all. then i poked around a long while until finally settling down and watching

the abyss. great movie with a really shitty ending. but the 2.5 leading up to it is just

great. then, as it is similar-somewhat in theme, and it lends itself well to sleeping, i threw

on solaris. I think i stayed awake for even less this time than i did when i went to the

movies, and that's not saying much. I actually intended to fall asleep during it, something

about all the rain and the silence just has an eerie mood to it that i like. katie says it

sucks, but one of these days i'll actually sit down and watch it from end to end.

today i got up around 9 and got to work on my easter mobile. i don't know when it hit me, but

sometime recently i decided i needed to do something crafty to celebrate easter. So i chose a

mobile full of marshmallow depictions of the life and times of Jesus. i downgraded the project

slightly this morning. i initiall was going to include baby jesus and man jesus, but i made a

couple jesus' this morning and said screw it, and then just started with Jesus' on Good Friday.

I made four Jesus': jesus on the cross, zombie jesus, ghost jesus and easter bunny jesus. my

favorite is zombie jesus. It's when he rises from the dead, his flesh is decayed and stuff.

to make it believable, i took little bites out of the marshmallows and colored the results in

with red to simulate open wounds, and then i also burned some of it to simulate rotting flesh.

The arms are out to the front, like you would expect a zombie. GHost jesus is pretty straight

forward and represents jesus in his ascended form, just a couple marshmallows with a coffee

filter over them. and finally, easter bunny jesus, it's not really talked much about in the

bible, but read it again, it IS in there. for EBJ i just did the normal jesus, but colored it

easter colors, gave it ears and whiskers, and instead of full limbs, i just used the cotton

ends of q-tips as little paws. Oh yeah, also a fluffy tail and a cross.

The mobile is hanging in our extra room, there's a big "HAPPY EASTER" i cut out of corrugated

cardboard hanging from the center. Katie digs it.

ok, gotta get ready to leave. stupid work tomorrow, missing the big day of drinking in the

mods and what not. sucks.
