so how's this for lame: it's midnight on a friday night and 'm getting ready for bed. got a big day of moving from one room to another tomorrow, probably in the midst of fucking thunderstorms. woohoo.

i got my paycheck, got off work, went to cambridge, and promptly spend the whole damn thing. New to my collection: Mark Eitzel - The Invisable Man, Neutral Milk Hotel - In the Aeroplane Over the Sea, The Walkmen - The Walkmen (ep), Spoon - Girls Can Tell, Whiskeytown - Pneumonia, Destroyer (Dan Bejar from New Pornographers) - Streethawk: A Seduction, the Beta Band - Hot Shots II, Robert Pollard and his Soft Rock Renegades - Choreographed Man of War, and then on vinyl: U2 - Boy and The Unforgettable Fire and REM - Green and Document. All in all, not bad. All in all, not a bad day. Came so close to picking up the New Super Furry Animals disc, but at 25 bucks, it'll have to wait a week.

When I got off work 2, i came home and played nintendo. that's what i was doing until now, at which point i will be going to sleep.

oh yeah, in cambridge i went to audiolab and found out that the solution to the evil machine noise coming from my record player is just to run a piece of stereo wire from a hole in the player to the ground switch on my receiver. woohoo, nothing left now but "the love."
