ok, i'm getting way too into xiu xiu. i hate to admit it, but it's good. and i think that only holds when i'm drunk. however i did hear 'apistat commander' on zbc and thought it was rad... but it's definitely key drunk music.

the oc did not disappoint this evening. if you watch the show resigned to the fact that it's trash it's really quite awesome. I think it really helps to start drinking when it starts. i have a wednesday night routine: spaghetti, garlic bread, wine, and the OC. it works out well, even though i had no garlic bread this evening.

if i was drunk when the oc starts, that'd be bad because i'd just forget everything. but since i start when it starts, by the half hour point, when the show starts getting really ridiculous, i have a little wine in me and i'm like WAY into it. last week was a misstep, it's all back on track now.

the oc actually taught be a couple things tonight. the first is that i want a nickname. george on seinfeld has this realization, but i just never really grabbed on to it. but after hearing ryan being called "chino" i want a nickname. in fact, "chino" would work just fine. the second thing i learned from the OC tonight is that, err, i forget. it may have something to do with sandy and jimmy starting a restaurant but i'm not sure.

when making my spaghetti tonight i saw tara's PCDC cup and thought about her. then she im'd me while i was on the couch watching the OC. then i realized that she and marisa on the OC talk the same. then i also realized i don't have her e-mail.

yeah that's it. keep your water running because frozen pipes are the suck.

also, it's all about fun.
