she's a jar

heh, not so much keeping this regular eh?

the week was chock full of video games and work. on thuesday it was a cappella fest, so katie and i went down with oly and mike and had our first alumni experience. well, not so much oly. it was fun seeing the group sing, and nice not having to worry about any of the shit that comes along with it, like rehearsals and what not. kinda weird, but pretty cool. then i came home for a bit and left with mike for the post-show party at acoustics central. quite an enjoyable evening, i rated it aweseomtastic. small place, just acoustics and bostonians mainly, but a lot of fun. until the beer ran out. but then katie and went on a mission into the upstairs apartment and stole some. then we went home with sean, we found some guy named jeff to hitch a ride with, and then katie and i talked on im (not to each other) for a while and then capped off the night with some BET that was showing footage of dre and snoop in concert interspresed with shots of black girls taking up their shirts and waving their boobs around. then there was close of of a vagina and katie and i were scared and confused. i understand that rappers like their naked women, but this was on regular cable, i don't understand what was going on.

friday i did the work thing, stayed a little late, came home and got dressed up and weaseled my way into Pops on the Heights. sat with katie and endured the show, which was the worst program ever assembled by man or machine. it was terrible. until the sound of music singalong where i sang in annoying falsetto. then i came back home for a bit, met up with adam and sean and we hit up the chorale party. it was too hot, so we went to brenda's room and the three of us sat drinking beers. then we returned, and left, and went to 506 and at some point, i returned home.

i set my alarm to "music" for saturday morning on accident, and unfortunately, that did not wake me up. i did get up at eleven, and scrambled to shower and head down to the mods. as it stood, it wasn't until halftime until i made it to the game, so the rushing wasn't exactly necessary. no, it was before halftime, as i vaguely remember the show. anyway, i had plenty of time to tailgate before heading over to the beating of CMU by BC. after the game it was back to the mods, were i ate food, talked to parents, and drank beers. passed out in 39B, woke up to the beginning of royal tennenabaums and then left because k.k. slider was singing in animal crossing. I fell asleep on the couch for god knows how long, and then got up and fell asleep on my bed with shoes on, etc. eventually, at 3am i realized i had to get up and do pre-bed things and go to bed for reals, so i stood up only to find that my legs were not really willing to cooperate with me. i was completely dead. i managed to get some water and brush my teeth and then i plopped back down and tried to sleep. However, since my large accrual of sleepytime minutes, it wasn't easy to fall asleep, and then i woke up again once i did fall asleep, and then i got out of bed around 9:30, played nintendo, went to best buy and star market and mcdonalds, and came home for gaming goodness.

i have to go to edmonds soon to play luke in football. ir eally don't want to go over there, i almost said "all the way over ther" but refrained because it's not far, i'm just lazy and want my sunday to go on forever.

it's like this

monday work. kinda sucked when at 10am i took the call from bill's mother saying that his father passed away. bill was on the phone and seriously, my heart was pounding until he got off. luckily, i just said his mother called and kind of escaped the whole bringing of bad news, but wow, the whole thing was incredibly hard.

seventh heaven i watch i think solely because i absolutely hate everyone on the cast except for the father. the twins make me want to blow up planets and lucy's boyfriend possibly even worse.

faces for radio debuted for the season this evening, and a night of beirut was the only appropriate kickoff. bing talks so much shit when he plays, and i think it gets into people's heads. we played him and mahnoey really well twice but they still beat us when it came down to the one cup.

word to the word.

ok, going to bed as soon as my soundblaster drivers download and install so that i cna listen to my recently recovered mp3s.

meyowza

word, another lovely weekend wraps up. in case you, like me, were unable to make heads or tails of the last entry, on thursday night it was off to mary ann's for the becoming 21 of brenda. then i came home, beat up katie, and forgot that i had work the next day and just sat and played on the internet for an hour completely not caring about antiquated ideas such as sleep.

friday was a nice day of work, then to mary ann's again for happy hour where i had to wait in like as douchy mcgay let all these girls in before me because when there is a line, letting in a girl will a.) bring in more people to happy hour because there's not already a line, b.) bring in more revenue to the bar because girls totally drink more than guys, and c.) will get douchy mcgay some ass because any girl who gets let to the front of the line really wants nothing more than to repay you with some sex. happy hour was a good time, drank, was merry, got some pizza, played a quick game of beirut maybe at 39b and then it was time for the group of us to go to 506 and give them a party. brenda's wasn't spectacular in terms of numbers, it was more or less the same old people, just a few more at the one time, but it was a lot of fun nonetheless. i believe that sean and last year's roommates all screamed jimmy eat world's the middle at the top of our lungs while jumping off furniture and playing air guitar about 3 times, and countless other songs as well. party got busted, i hit up late night, went back to 506, then went to uhh, probably luke's. hung out there with the joes and some kids and dave until i got home at about 5:30ish.

saturday katie and i woke up and played animal crossing which should most likely be designated an illegal substance. it's sad really, this game is consuming our lives. and i really won't talk about it any more because i just end up digging ourselves a deeper hole. adam and tim are consumed now as well. then i went shopping with mike where we purchased pillows and a slip cover for the couch. then i came home and did nerdy computer setting up things. my mp3s are still inaccessible, which on a scale from 1 to incredibly annoying, makes me want to kill myself. that will be remedied tomorrow night likely. although i do have class so who knows.

katie and adam and sean and mike went to six flags, i stayed home, caught the end of the notre dame game and then fell asleep for the bc game. woke up 3rd quarter, showered, hit up tony and adam's. had some drinks, ate some chili, watched some pool, not a bad time. i then went to campus to go to edmonds for steph's thing, but i mod hopped for about an hour first. then to steph's, good times there, lots of that bostonians thing going on, then everyone left and i went to luke's with steph and diane. hung out there, they left. i stayed, at about 5am we started up the grill, had burgers, and i got home at 6.

today was designated video game day. woke up, went to campus for laundry and football, came home for animal crossing. squeezed in a quick episode of buffy as well.

now i'm tired and will go to sleep.

i love rock and roll

oh my god totally grids.

ok, tuesday, poker night. small crowd due to many factors, but it still worked out to be a lot of fun and i only lost $3.

then teh day after i had a though about mannequins. why would any one want to do andrew mccarthy?

seriously tho7uhgl... why put nipples on a mannequin. asie from creating some elicit thrill to the wandering 10 year old before it, what reason does a work house reallyhave?

also, i've been eating sourdough pretzels at work and i had a thought. how genius would it be to sell sourdough pretzels all crunched up? and i don't mean that sourdough nugget shit that's a;; uniform and round and evenly salted and what not. i mean a bag of sourdoughs, just crushed around a bit. that's how i eat them at work,m i just smash the hell out of them and then eat the pieces.

also this entry is spread out over two days because the stuff wasn't working last night so i couldn't upload it. also, i havely looked at the screen for many a moment and i have no idea if an of this is coming out sensical or if it is just complete gibberish.

brenda's b8itday at mary ann's fun last nightl, obrenda's birhday at gabelli five oh grids was also cool.

now i go to sleepl.

then blah blah blah goofy and pluto and donald ad minnie and captain hook and the whole goddam crew was there. and blah blah i'm going to save now because i'm fucking tired.

dinner at eight in the suburbs

oh wow, great day at work. first time i looked at the clock and it was 1:30, 5 hours done and it felt like nothing at all.

came home and got ready for some tv watching and crap food eating. i feel bad, i bought all this junk food and haven't touched it yet, because most of my time is spent playing video games and you can't eat food that leaves any sort of residue on you hands whatsoever while playing video games because it simply does not work.

but instead of that, adam came over, bought me dinner from johnny's, and i sat down to do some of my patented no nonsense arranging. thought i was done with this, but i'm not. so of course i'm facing the same problems as always, and that is "so wtf do i do here," hopefully the garth song will turn out ok. i just wish i had more free time with which to work on it because i feel bad having it not be done quickly and stuff but really it's not my problem.

we showed adam frequency and he didn't seem quite as excited as katie was, but that's ok. because once we get animal crossing tomorrow we probably won't need anyone being excited about any sort of video games over here. also, we need to watch some more buffy soon. so much crap to do and so little free time to do it.

you know, that whole free time nonsense is said all the time in college, and sure, it feels accurate, but really, when you are out of the house from 7:45 until 6:15 and then go to bed around midnight 5 days a week, you really feel the crunch of having far too little leisure time. which really would be fine if we didn't have tv shows we like to watch, too much shit coming out on dvd that we need to watch, a video game we'll be playing too much, video games that i myself need to devote time to, poker night on tuesdays, class on mondays, the occassional weekday socializing AND being hardcore tired for all of it, well then you really see what having too little free time means.

and not that i'm complaining, i'm far from unhappy or anything, it's just for the first time ever i will say "i wish there were 5 more hours in the day" and really really mean it.

ok, a little more music and then bed. gonna set my clock up about 4 minutes. hopefully this "missing the 7:45 train by 10 seconds" bullshit will end once and for all.

yawn

oh happy days, the internet comes back into my life and my life gets instantly more boring. I just spent an hour looking at stupid shit online. i sat down here to do some things involving music for steve and others, but instead it devolved all too quickly into looking at web pages and checking everyone's away messages 2 or 3 times. woohoo.

played it easy last night. hit the mods for some modding, and then a quick trip to the furnace of ignacio and then back to the mods, from which i departed around 12:30 or 1. came home and had cheese and triscuits with katie as we watched tv and stuff until i couldn't keep my eyes open for more than 10 seconds at a time.

got up early today, and by early i mean 11. played mario, watched tv, by god back to the future is a great movie, oly came over and i watched the last quarter of the patirots game then more video games and or tv. quick nap around 7. then chef choy and simpsons on dvd since for some reason fox had jurassic park 3 on.

sadly tomorrow begins the work week, and just in time for two new videogames, one of which i believe will suck up far too much of my and katie's time.

i'm wearing a winter hat right now for no apparant reason. just in case you were wondering.

i wonder why i'm keeping up with this, it's really fallen into disrepair. i feel like i should do some pontificating right now, but i don't know what to pontificate on and quite frankly, i'd rather do something else.

oh hurray, beethoven's 6th second movement just started downloading. the simpsons had it today and i want to listen to it and soon i can.

24 hour party people

so thursday after a long and mostly tired day of work i came home, oly came over, we had raviolis and then trekked out the south street to hang out with the bostonians. the new kids are way cool it was a great time. dimo's place is pretty nice, no my place, but hey, we can't all be winners.

work friday was normal, got out and five and went down to mary ann's for the happiest hours of the week. the happy hour crew is getting larger which is fun. good times, the bud light guys were there being lame and continously shouting out to the waterfall table (us) and yelling at john for wearing the same shirt as last week. and they wouldn't let us win anything. then around 8 or so it was presto's time with umm, darren tara and tom? perhaps more but i think that was it. we kinda stayed around mary ann's a bit longer than the rest. yummy happy times prestos, tara mangled her pants with sauce, i had to go back to mary ann's to get my bag and then it was to luke's for beirut or more drinking or something. darren and tara forsook me for a few hours, and i'm not sure how i passed the time, but i was entertained nonetheless. around 2 or so i left the mods definitely drunk and ready to go straight to bed and then i ran into lex. he was going to a party, i told him i had to go home, 10 seconds later i turned around.

so we went down to this nice place on strathmore beacon side for a typical night with lex. strange but friendly people, flavored tobacco from hookahs, all sorts of intoxicants, crazy hippy talk, and a very healthy amount of fun. lex andrew and i left the party around 6, went to lex's apartment, unwound with his guitar and keyboards, and then i took a pass out on his couch, came home at 10, slept till 3. woke up, went to tony's and brought our free couch over, went to target and other stores trying to find a slip cover with no luck and now here i am about to play some mario as i figure out what i will be doing this evening.

back and quite possibly better than ever

look at me, i'm in my new apartment and on the internet and the apartment, or house rather, is the coolest thing ever and katie and i are so spoiled. also, i have anyone in the customer service industry, and i blame verizon for this.

a lot has happened in the past few weeks, none of it terribly important. people are back at school, katie and i are settling in slowly, we get free cable, i've introduced katie to the magic of buffy, i've bought many cds and such, getting a new computer tomorrow, had a couple of poker nights, went to a few bars, uhh, but i'll talk about that tomorrow perhaps. or perhaps never. right now, i have "i haven't had the internet for 3 weeks syndrome" but am also quite tired, going to bed at 5:30 after 7 hours of poker will do that to you. i finished the night up sixty bucks. that's after putting in 60 bucks early on because i was losing horribly, and also after splitting half of all my chips with the house so that they can buy more lovely top shelf liquor for next week. moral of the story is this: at 5am or so, i had about $250 dollars on the table. that's awesome.

ok, now back to putting away laundry and looking at websites and clearing off my bed so i can sleep and maybe having some of the cookies adam had delivered when they arrive. huzzah. the terrorists have not already won.
